  • Everyone is unique, but we often recommend a therapy period of 6-8 weeks after your assessment and goal-setting. This typically includes one session each week with the Speech Pathologist and practicing at home 3-5 times a week.

During the therapy block, you will focus on one main/'dream' goal (of your choice). We will divide this main goal into smaller goals to work on each week. As a result, you should notice progress every week.

We use 'outcome measures' to measure this progress. This is a critical component of our approach which enables us to readily modify our therapy approach if needed.

You may access our services for subsequent therapy blocks if you have more than one goal. We do recommend breaks between therapy blocks. This gives time for each new skill set to be integrated into your daily life, before tackling something new.

  • Yes! At NeuPath Speech Rehabilitation, an evidence-based approach is non-negotiable. This is a commitment we make to all of our clients.

Evidence-Based Practice means using the best available information to make clinical decisions and provide effective care for clients. It is based on an intersection of three components:

    • scientific research

    • Speech Pathologist's expertise

    • cilent's individual factors, wants and needs.

It is important that people with communication difficulties have access to this evidence.

If you have aphasia, The Aphasia Research Library connects people with aphasia with research. Click here for more information.
